Andrew Turner

To me, the most important part of editing is the stories that we get to tell through this wonderful medium. In every edit I try to convey emotion, feeling, and a sense of adventure for the viewer. I love working with music in my edits, I’m always trying to make something that gives me goosebumps.

I’ve been messing around with nonlinear editing since I was young, a kid who was lucky enough to know he wanted to do from a very young age. I love the process, the technology involved, and getting to share meticulous crafts with others.

I’m also passionate about infrastructure. The workflows and equipment that exist in a studio provide the basis for this creative work to be done, and I find beauty in that. I love creating systems that make the creative process flow, and make the world easier for the people working around me. In my time at Meateater, I’ve learned a lot about what makes and breaks a smooth post production pipeline, and I’ve taken that experience with me to become the most effectual team member that I can be. I’ve learned that the extra bit of foresight and thoughtfulness make all the difference.
